The House of Dior has recently opened a stylish boutique in Barcelona, located on Passeig de Gràcia, the shopping avenue where all the luxury European fashion brands are represented and which up until now was missing the renowned French label. After a year of renovation the historic building now accommodates a selection of prêt-à-porter clothing and women’s wear accessories, within the signature interior design work of architect Peter Marino.

Aside from the other store locations in Spain (Madrid and Puetro Banús), Dior’s arrival to Barcelona coincided with Italian creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut who takes the place of fashion designer Raf Simons, becoming the first female to lead the House as it reaches its 70th anniversary.
What was previously a Pronovias shop has now been refurbished as a women’s boutique over two levels. The ground floor, which is divided into two spaces, is solely dedicated to leather goods, while the first floor is reserved for the shoe collections a prêt-à-porter area. Two of the design highlights of the upper level are the chimney designed by the artists Juan and Paloma Garrido and the VIP lounge, furnished with Dutch designer Sebastian Brajkovic’s Lathe tables. The traditional Dior’s grey colour palette is used to unify the two floors, which highlights the large flower murals especially created by French artist Oyoram.
