Entropía is recently opened stationery and paper goods shop, located right in the middle of the Eixample neighbourhood. Located on the corner of C/ Aribau and C/ Roselló, it is a small but perfectly formed shop that offers a carefully selected range of top quality paper goods. The meaning of the word ‘entropia’ refers to chaos and disorder which the owner and manager of the shop Jing Jing Yang believes is when the best creations and ideas come about.
Entropía’s display windows, located right on the chaflán, provide a beautiful display of the unique products within. The interior design carried out by Nogales Interiorismo, a design studio based in Valencia, greets customers with a modest open plan space with retro lighting over the central display area with the various collections of goods. The surrounding walls are tiled in white ceramics with wood shelving, a compliment to the soft pink and baby blue products, along with the arrangement of smaller journals, scrap books and agendas placed around the shop’s perimeter.
The logo and graphic design was created by a Barcelona-based design studio, Boniqueta Studio. Entropía works with several name brands from Korea, such as Iconic, Indigo, Second Mansion, Oohlala and a few from Japan, such as Midori, MT Masking Tape, as well. Branded designs include inspirational quotes, floral patterns and playful cartoon figures, with a wide variety of goods to choose from. Aside from their current selection, the shop is also looking to expand their relations with other local designers.
